Faith saves the day

A crucial cricket match was to be played between two cricket teams of a school to choose the best out of them. The best team would be selected to go for the zonals. But one of the boys of one team suddenly fell ill and by no means would he be able to attend the cricket match. So the coach had to select Adarsh as a substitute though he didn’t want to, as Adarsh walked with a limp. But Adarsh was very excited. It was an opportunity for him to prove himself.

On the day of the match, all the parents came to cheer the young Sachin Tendulkars’ and Brett Lees’. Adarsh’s father was also there and he knew how happy and excited his son was. He could see his child sitting in the grass. Adarsh was undoubtedly restless and sat with a big smile on his face. Every time one of his team mates hit a six or four, he would hoot as if they had already won the match.

The other team had already set a target of 96 runs. 92 runs had been scored by Adarsh’s team. Now 5 runs were to be scored in 2 balls. Adarsh’s team was very confident at first as one of their best players was playing but unfortunately in the next ball, the champion of their team also got out. Now the target was 5 runs in 1 ball. Adarsh and another of his team mate had to go for batting.

Adarsh’s father knew he wouldn’t be called upon to play next. He knew how happy his child was when he had been selected to play for the team. He would hate to see his child feeling that he contributed nothing towards the match. He knew that the other guy would be selected to play instead of Adarsh.

But then with the mutual consent of all the team members, the captain of the team let Adarsh play the last ball. It seemed more or less unbelievable to his father. He could see Adarsh excitedly put his pads on. At last he was on the pitch. The bowler of the opposite team bowled. It was a wide. Now 4 runs had to be made by Adarsh. It seemed impossible to his father. The whole crowd had turned dead silent, anxious to know the result of the last ball. The bowler bowled. The ball reached Adarsh in what seemed like a Century to his father. A sharp crack sound could be heard when Adarsh hits the ball. The ball rolled on & on at a high speed. The fielder dived to stop the way but somehow it seemed that the ball was willing to reach the boundary. The fielder missed, and the ball hit the boundary to give a clear win to Adarsh’s team. It seemed like a miracle to his father.

The crowd stood up clapping and for that one moment, it didn’t matter which team they were supporting. At that point of time, everybody supported the faith of Adarsh. Both the teams took and carried Adarsh on their shoulders. His father had tears in his eyes. He could see Adarsh happy and giggling. His eyes were searching his father. He waved wildly at his father and his father waved back. At that time nobody cared about their personal gain or loss, everybody cared about that child-like smile of Adarsh and how he enjoyed being the hero of the day.

Later Adarsh’s father came to know that the opponent team’s captain had let Adarsh hit a boundary with the mutual consent of his team mates. The captain of other team wanted to give Adarsh one of the best memories of his life.

Friendship Day !!

It's that time of the year again!!! It's time to message all those crazies, going out and filling up the hand entirely with those colourful friendship bands. It's time of the year to thank all those tweeps for being there with you always. Being there through all sad moments, good ones, embarrassing ones, sarcastic ones and of course the tough ones. Imagine what life had been without those gigantic foodies, clumsy spillers and the best advisers........ well at least sometimes.

This day I thanked my beshest buddy- Kashish. The one who accepted me with all my flaws and the one who stuck by me through thick and thins. Until previous year, I never thought it would turn out like this girl. But life's full of surprises and it's being proved at each and every turn of the life. The one I 'thought' cared for me, betrayed me and the one I didn't gave justice to stuck by me.

I have nothing else to say girl. Just wanna thank you for making my life so precious with your presence in it and loving me all the same.
Happy Friendship Day to all!!!!

So Long.....!!!!

Well, writing a post after what seemed like a decade. What just huffing puffing busy. And at last completed with the holiday homework.XD

Completed with all the exams today plus all the retests. Uff !! Had viral and huge wala cold. Didn't came to know of the reason..... that also in such a hot and humid weather. That was the ultimate days. all day trapped in the room. Either sleeping or staring at the ceiling. Was incapable of doing anything else. And for atleast some days got to take a leave from the school. Because ofcourse bad things come with a treat.

Heard somebody saying that class 9th is sooooo easy. Uh-huh !! I found it to be the worst years. All that I do all day long is projects, projects and projects. Before it wasn't a matter whether we submitted the copies and registers or not. But now down comes the burden of assessment marks with the subject teacher peering down from the ghastly and wraith black clouds Uhhhhh !! That sends a shudder down the spine. Marks is all what the students care about now-a-days. talking about marks, I'm not that bad off. Scored a 20/20 in mathematics and that was like the kiddo dream of my life. Got greeeaaattt marks in Hindi, English and Computers too. Flunked in Social Science and Science was just good though Biology was awesome.

So all that I heard about in the past few days was about the ultimate chapter of 'Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows 2', 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' and 'Delhi Belly'. And trust me some people are just so unfortunate, and that means me. I didn't got to see even a single of these. Uaannn !! *Sob Sob*

Made the last of the Presentations today. And am damn happy for that.

Mom's birthday today and that means two things- party and gotta go !! After all
'On this perfect day, the perfect lady should be treated perfectly'!
Don't worry, am gonna rock !! :P

Good night Bloggies and take care !!

Homework..... !!!!!

So it's another awesome mausam day. It's raining life from the heavens. A perfect day to open up the windows, drink cocoa and read that much awaited horror book but then *craaaashhhh!!!!* comes the burden, huge burden, terrible burden of holiday homework. Though I started it early, I have not been able to finish it yet, not even half of it. And thinking about it just takes my life out of me, especially the computer homework-HTML codings. Now I wish I had not enjoyed my holidays by going out and chilling. Instead I wish I had spent my holidays studying and completing all this damned work (sign of a typical nerd). How I wish I could have completed some of those things I wanted to do this year instead of watching TV. I wish I had completed the book. I wish I participated in Tony Blair Foundation Competition. I wish I made the movie. I wish.......

There are lots of things to be wished for but not regretted. Well I have many in my mind right now. And I always will have. Exams are also round the corner and I can't make head or tails of even one chapter. Probably I'm boring the reader with my tensions. So I'm just gonna end it here.

Studying the nature of 'Blogs'

Well I was wondering what to write as right now I am full of  ideas about what to write in this blog, and it's becoming difficult to choose one out of them. So for inspirations I checked out other people's blog. Most of them were for advertising and publicity purposes and remaining ones i.e. the personal blogs wrote........ almost about anything and everything. Starting from their history homework to their toothache to how their homework was eaten by their dogs or in a better way, just destroyed. They complain and nag about their ill fate and write meaningless really really long blogs. It is a necessity for them to post blogs twice or thrice a day. Instead of writing the blog, they can rewrite the homework but they don't look towards the brighter side of these.

Well returning back, some of the blogs were quite helpful and meant 'something' instead of just blabbing out to the reader. They were written in a systematic and composed manner instead of just shooting word traps.
The tips I worked out especially for the first timers were-
  • Write in an order
  • Crack a few occasional jokes
  • Write as if you are talking to a friend
  • Make it reader friendly
  • The language should be kept simple, preferably in past or present tense and in active voice
  • Make it short, crisp and to the point
Those were some of the tips. Hope it comes useful to the blogger. As to the subject, who knows even I may end up talking about someone's mom refusing her to dye her hair pink.
Thanks for reading and Take care !!

Me.... !!

So got up early... really early.... in the morning. And the weather- it was so pleasant, raining cats and dogs !!So whenever you meet new people, you start by introducing yourself or anything such. So I am starting by introducing myself-
So I am a 14 year old teenager, lives her life to the fullest and happy-go-lucky !! My interests are reading, travelling, music and I am a biggggg foodie too. Not to regret but I am lazy too. Sports of my interest are basketball, swimming and cycling. Well I am not really of a sporty person. But I still somehow love adventure sports. My new found hobby, photography, is the most loved one too especially when I took some really breath-taking photographs. I love being on social networking sites too. Talking about friends, got a crazy bunch of those. Eating, talking, strolling, chatting, that's all we like. About my class...... 9th is pretty tough man!! It squeezes out the fun from life and body. Assignments and projects are something each student dreads but that's the only thing we get in our classes. Damn the new CCE system..... it's like the curse of the lake monster we talked about in our chilhood. All they do is make children mechanical robots. So returning to 'ME'.... other things I like are films, day outs, shopping and yeah, dance too. Last but not the least I am a true 'Aquarian' too !!

So well that's just some of the basics..... eventually everything else will be known when I will write about almost everything.

Very first blog !!

So it's 12:25 at midnight... well atleast the clock on my computer says so...at last created my blog though I don't think it will be kept updated. Anyways I guess I created a lot of blank blogs before actually writing out something. Took a lot of time to figure out how this thing works...... and I guess got to know a thing or two.So schools are going to open up (well, I'm freaked out for that) but got nothing ready for it...... not yet. Even I haven't yet started my holiday homework and it's just 5 days for schools to open. Whoever asks me about it.... well I leave them half paralyzed. Looks like I got a good week's work ahead.

Came back from a trip to Kashmir.... Lots of tourist there right now... especially Srinagar. Looks more filled than a fish market. Enjoyed the holidays to the core without actually doing any material stuff. Well yawning like something. Got to go now. Good Night !!

By the way does my astrological sign says Gemini.... Damn the new astrological signs. I was and will always be a true Aquarian and somehow Aquarius suits me too !!
